Project description   Update   Status
Improve Antlers Park: Add parking, trail loop system, modern restroom facilities, picnic shelters, volleyball courts and more. Check out the completed project here.   The park officially reopened on May 22, 2024.    Completed
Improve Ritter Farm Park: Renovate and expand existing cabin to enhance nature-based programming, including site improvements.   This project was completed in late August 2023. Check out our current nature and wellness program offerings.   Completed
Construct outdoor public multi-use pavilion at Hasse Arena: This outdoor refrigerated covered ice rink will allow for programmed and public open skating and hockey, and activities such as boot and pond hockey and outdoor tournaments, in winter months. During the off season, the pavilion would be used for trade shows, community events and concerts, and other large gatherings. You can find more details on our Park Improvements and Updates webpage.   This portion of the project includes a new refrigeration ice plant to operate both the indoor rink and outdoor rink; the outdoor rink subfloor piping system and rink floor surface; and the rental of a temporary chiller that will allow ice to be maintained inside during the spring, late summer and fall months while the current ice plant is under construction. The site work and roof structure construction for the project was re-bid in fall of 2022. Construction commenced in spring of 2023 and is on schedule to be completed by spring/summer 2024.   Completed
Replace basketball courts   Basketball courts at Bassett, Foxborough, Greenridge, Highview, Hypointe Crossing and Rolling Oaks parks have been replaced.   Completed
Improve the Lakeville Area Arts Center facility   Construction of the Arts Center loading dock and new office space was completed in June 2023.   Completed
Trail gaps/connectivity: Build new and connect existing trails throughout the City. You can find more details on our Park Improvements and Updates webpage.   Construction of trail segments began in 2023 and will continue into 2026.   In process
Replace park ID signs   Installation of landscaping and 39 ID signs has commenced and was completed in fall of 2023.   Completed
Construct Grand Prairie Park (formerly Avonlea Community Park): Includes splash pad, challenge course, pickleball courts, trails, multi-purpose athletic fields, baseball field and playground. You can find more details on our Park Improvements and Updates webpage.   Planning and design occurred in 2023 with construction commencing in 2024. Final completion of the park will occur in 2026.   In process
Develop East Community Park Phase II: Add canoe and kayak racks, modern restroom facilities, trailhead and shelter, open lawn play area, and native prairie areas.
