Programs & Services

The Lakeville Fire Department participates in a Mutual Aid Agreement with cities in Dakota and Scott Counties and the Metropolitan Airports Commission, sharing manpower and equipment resources, if needed. The Department actively participates in Fire Prevention Week, National Night Out, and holds an annual community waffle breakfast during Pan-O-Prog, Lakeville's city festival.

Programs

  • The Lakeville Fire Marshal handles inspections of business fire alarms or sprinkler systems, construction / remodeling plan review, and fire extinguisher training. For more information, call 952-985-4706.
  • The Lakeville Fire Inspector handles testing of business fire alarms or sprinkler systems, coordinates fire prevention education opportunities, and visits classrooms. For more information, call 952-985-4705.
  • The Administrative Assistant schedules station tours, block parties, appointments, and answers questions about fire permits, recreational fires, and other fire department questions.

Services

  • Fire station tours: Tours of Lakeville's four fire stations are available to groups of any size. Firefighters participate in training on certain Mondays and Tuesdays, therefore some of those days may not be available. Please call three weeks in advance.
  • Block parties: Firefighters are available to visit block parties or other neighborhood activities. National Night Out activities are scheduled through the Lakeville Police Department, but visits on other nights during the year may be scheduled through the Fire Department. Please call three weeks in advance.
